Amazing place

Steve Birmingham, AL.

This location, a few feet from Central Park and a block from the Museum of Natural History and subway lines, was perfect. It was even on the first floor. I was surprised by the spaciousness; the balcony deck was great and relaxing, with a green view all its own. When in a hotel room, we're usually just waiting for the next place to go, thing to do. In this apartment, we could actually relax and just enjoy being where we were, and feel like actual NYC residents. Anything you'd want is just steps away. It was perfectly clean. Many extras, like iron and board, plenty of linens, soap and shampoo, kitchen utensils, umbrella, and so much more, were pleasant surprises, as were the flat screen TV's in both living and bedroom.
I would stay here again and again.

Excellent rental in every way

My family of five stayed at the apartment, and it was incredible. Having stayed in hotels the past five years, this was a breath of fresh air. The location was perfect--close to Central Park, the museum of Natural History, subway stops, and restaurants galore. The apartment itself was gorgeous--very tastefully decorated and well stocked. Finally, Michel, the owner, was wonderful to work with. He was attentive, responded quickly to emails, and was easy to get a hold of once in the city. I will definitely rent from him again should our travels bring us back to NYC.

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for a week in October. Everything was perfect; it was clean and charming. The neighborhood couldn't be better, The upper west side has many cafes, restaurants, shops, and of course Zabar's! We walked across Central Park to the Metropolitan Museum.Broadway shows, the east side and all areas of Manhattan are easily accessible. Michel was very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again, and would recommend this property to my friends and family. Alan and Diana, San Francisco

My boyfriend and I rented this lovely apartment for a romantic getaway in New York City, and this exceeded all expectations. Michel and his wife couldn't have been more welcoming, and all arrangements proceeded efficiently and with prompt followup.

I would stay here any time - the location is ideal for combining living like a real New Yorker (like I used to be, though not one that could afford a pre-war gem like this one) in the beautiful, atmospheric and safe Upper West side, with quick access to Central Park, great restaurants, and that world treasure, the American Museum of Natural History.

Perfect big city experience

Shila Wooster, Ohio, USA.
Date Submitted: September 03, 2010 Date of Stay: July 2010
My husband and I stayed for a few days in this lovely apartment. It was a perfect location for visiting museums and restaurants (so many of them and they were all fabulous). The owner was very helpful and we experienced the big city living for a few days, including the ritual of moving the car from one side of the street to the other for street cleaning! I highly recommend this apartment for anyone who wants to experience stay at a place different from a hotel, with all the conveniences.

Delightful

The apartment is delightfully situated near Central Park, museums, great restaurants, stores, and the subway. It is quiet, sunny, smartly decorated, and is even stocked with books and a few toys for kids. It has a balcony off the back that gives it a little extra roominess as well. This apartment was perfect for my four-person family. We have two kids under 10 and found it to be well-suited to our sleeping needs. Getting there and getting the key was simple and the owners were very responsive to phone calls and emails. I would definitely recommend this to a couple or small family for just about any length of stay.

In February this year we had a lovely stay at this appartment and I would recommend it to anyone, who is looking to stay in Manhattan.
It is right next to Central Park and you can catch the underground to Time Square from where you can go anywhere in Mannhattan. The appartment it self is comfy and spacious.

This rental turned out better than expected. Located around the block from the subway, we got anywhere we needed to go with ease. Lots of cool bars and restaurants within walking distance and you can't get closer to Central Park. The condo has been recently updated and was beautiful!

This was our second time staying at the apartment and had once again the best time (previous review Oct. 2008 "Loved It") .

The location is perfect, the apartment is great, and the host family/ apartment managers are wonderful, there was even an assortment of toys for our young daughter. One can't ask for a better set up. "We'll be back!"

Apartment matched description on website and was clean and in good condition on arrival.
Owners were on hand to solve minor issues such as cable not working. Would definitely recommend for either couples looking for something quieter and more personal than a Manhattan hotel or for young families such as us (we brought our 14 mth old infant). The layout is perfect as you can put the child to bed in the bedroom whilst relaxing in the living area.
Location is great on Upper West Side, so close to Central Park yet quiet and peaceful as well - a great balance!
Several good restaurants and cafes within walking distance, plus subway and museums on hand.
Will defintely recommend to friends and family
Hope to return one day!

Fabulous time in the Big Apple

Date Submitted: June 18, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Five crazy Canadian girls were tickled pink with the accommodations. The apartment is beautifully decorated and very cozy, we all felt very at home during our week long stay.
The owners, Michael and Renata are very friendly and helpful offering great tips and insights into the neighborhood and city itself. They have compiled a list of menus for nearby restaurants that they enjoy and we were not disappointed by 2 that we tried.
The location couldn't be better you, can be anywhere in 10 or 15 minutes and having Central Park just up the block was amazing. I would most certainly stay here again and would prefer it to be sooner than later.

We had a lovely stay in this apartment, which is situated in a quiet location right next to Central Park. An entrance to a subway station is right around the corner, and there are fantastic restaurants and bars nearby too! Michel was very welcoming and helpful, and had some good restaurant tips as well. We have already recommended this to lots of friends.

Thanks again for a great stay in New York.

Great place for a city get away

Date Submitted: April 29, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
This is a wonderful apartment, in a great location. Less than 1 block to metro, steps to Central Park, and one block to Natural History Museum. The apartment was very clean and easily accommodates sleeping arrangements for four. The owners are on premises and were very helpful and accommodating. They had some great recommendations for neighborhood attractions and restaurants. The property is located in a very quiet neighborhood. A great place for our week-long girl get away. We have said in Manhattan many times before and this was by far the most quiet place that we have ever stayed. Thanks so much to Michel and Renata for their hospitality. We will definitely be staying here again!

Central Park on your doorstep

Hillwalker Dundee.
Date Submitted: April 16, 2009 Date of Stay: April 2009
We have just returned to Scotland from a week in NYC, staying in this great apartment. By coincidence, it happened to be Tartan Week in NYC when we were there. It was ideal for a family of four with two teenagers, and allowed us to have more flexibility than a hotel (it was also more cost effective). It was spacious and well laid out with good storage for all of us. The proximity to Central Park made it for us (running, skating, climbing etc), along with a subway stop very nearby which took us all over Manhattan (and beyond). So it's within easy reach of the main attractions but far enough away from the crowds and noise in Midtown to give you a quiet evening if that's what you prefer. There are many places within walking distance to choose from to eat, whether it's deli, take-out or eat-in. The owners were friendly and helpful, both in the planning beforehand and during our stay. We hope to return some day and would definitely recommend this to friends with kids.

Our Home Away from Home

Debbie and Jerry Calgary, AB Canada.
Date Submitted: January 28, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2008
My husband and I along with our 2 young children stayed here for 2 weeks last August. It's great location being steps away from Central Park, and it's blocks away from wonderful stores and restaurants on Columbus, Amsterdam and Broadway. The apartment was clean, beautifully decorated, and also really quiet. The building has laundry facilities, and this was very convenient!

The owners live in the building, and are so hospitable, we did not feel like strangers. We were able to use their au pair a couple of times, and she was also very nice. This was a great alternative to using a babysitting service.

This was our 4th trip to NY, and our 3rd apartment rental. This was by far the best place that we have stayed at, and we will definitely stay here again. Our 3 year old keeps asking to go back!

Loved It!

X NYC Austin, Texas, USA.
Date Submitted: October 14, 2008 Date of Stay: September 2008
As former New Yorkers we are always very excited about visiting our old home and we are delighted to have found this place. The accommodations are perfect for a family that has no interest in staying at a hotel and that prefers Central Park and the charms and conveniences of the Upper West Side to tourist invasions of Times Square. The subway is only one block away so any point of interest is easily reached. The owners/managers live in the same building and are real nice. We will definitely try to stay there again on future visits to the city.

An extremely reasonable price for the location. Central Park is steps away and it's close to a number of subway lines. The apartment was tasteful and the owner (Michel) was generous.

Excellent Upper West Side apartment

It was an excellent experience! I found this gem in New York for my parents, who were visiting for 10 days. Not only that this partment is beutifully decorated and extremly comfortable. But also, it´s close to one of the best museums in NYC (Natural History), great restaurants and only 1 block from the train.

However, the best experience came from a personalized approach from its owners.

Thank you for a great experience!

Jackie
