  • Simple but beautiful bathrooms are located just off all four main bedrooms and there is also a full bathroom on the main floor of the house

  • Four double bed room suites all with private en-suit washrooms with showers, basins and bidets by Villory & Boch as well as dressing areas. Two of the rooms have traditional West Indian louvred windows with no glass and ceiling fans, both these rooms have access to a large shared balcony. One of these rooms also has a twin bedded children's room off it which is suitable for children at a small additional cost. This master suite also has it's own private balcony off the bathroom. The other two main bed room suits are air conditioned and have their own private large balcony through large glass patio doors. All 4 double bedrooms face the Pitons and have magnificent views. Floors are polished hard wood or ceramic tile.

Notes: The house is located on a steep hillside 300 feet above the Caribbean Sea. The site therefore has many steps and places where young children or infirm people could fall or get into difficulties. The house is fully staffed with daily housekeeping, cooking, pool and deck cleaning and gardeners. The staff will also shop for our guests provided the cash is provided by the guests for each shopping trip. Location: Le Gallerie occupies one of the most stunning locations in the West Indies. Perched on a promontory called Lookout Point, 300 feet above the Caribbean Sea, it faces due south to the majestic Pitons. The view is breathtaking, extending 180 degrees from Soufriere Bay, across the Pitons, St Vincent and around to the setting sun in the west. Clouds drifting in from the Atlantic on the eastern side of the island can produce ever changing light conditions to illuminate the Pitons as they rise 2,500 feet out of the clear sea, the colour of which varies from brilliant turquoise to deep blue. This most amazing and dynamic of panoramas provides a magnificent backdrop for the beautiful and charming house, making it a wonderful place to entertain, relax and unwind.

Space to relax and unwind: The magnificent living areas provide ample space for entertaining or quiet corners for peace and quiet to read and unwind. The gargantuan (60” x 30”) sitting room has a polished hardwood floor and large white sofas. The end third of the sitting room is a covered verandah with views of the Pitons and across the deck and pool area to the west. A perfect place to sip rum punch and watch the sun go down. There are two large TVs with DVD, one with home cinema, and an iPod docking station. A growing collection of paper back books is being constantly added to by our guests. Cards and some classic board games are also available.

Pool and facilities: A focal point is a 30 foot long infinity edge swimming pool and extensive deck area shaped like the stern of a steamer. Below the house a steep path and steps lead down to a secluded stone and pebble beach on a marine reserve with beautiful diving. Please note the site is not suitable for the physically challenged or young children as there are many steps, as well as cliff edges. The kitchen has a five burner gas hob, Neff oven, larder fridge, large freezer, drinks fridge, ice maker, ice cream maker, toaster, microwave and a full set of cooking and eating utensils for parties of twelve. Two sinks offer preparation and clearing areas. There is a downstairs shower room, sink, bidet and toilet. All bathrooms have showers. Outside the kitchen and dining room is a substantial brick BBQ and bottle gas ring, ideal for a barbequed fish supper or a quick omelette at breakfast. Electrical outlets are UK three pin sockets.
