A modern barn coversion set in 23 acres in beautiful rural portuguese countryside with terrace pastures, interspersed with forests of eucalyptus, oak and pine.Child friendly with equipment supplied for babies and toddlers including sterilisers, toddler cutlery and crockery, toddler seats, monitors, cots, high chairs, bed guards etc. A two bedroom barn sleeps up to 6 comfortably, with open plan lounge and kitchen dining room, shower room and balcony.A selection of toys, board games and books for young and old are in each holiday home with TV, DVD and playstation 2 console.Two swimming pool areas one with toddler pool, a childrens playground with sand pit, football pitch, volley ball and badmington area.A wide variety of outdoor toys, inflatables, bikes ect are also supplied for the use of our guests.Local activites include clay pigeon shooting, fishing, river swimming, archery, skiing, snowboarding,sailing, horse riding, walks, museums, monuments, local markets, vinyards + much more

Chestnut Barn is easily accessable with a ten minute walk through the trees to our local village with three cafe/bars, mini supermarkets, fish mongers and pharmacie. Oliveira do Hopital, is just a ten minute drive away with all of the supermarkets, shops, bars and restaurants that you need. We are just a 45 minute drive to Coimbra, Portugals third largest city with its shopping malls, hypermarkets, historial monuments and university. It is an hours drive to the beach and an hours drive to the mountains for skiing and snowboarding in the winter, or mountain biking in the summer. Wether you fancy a spot of painting or basket making, or weaving there are many different activites to do in this area. This is a beautiful part of Portugal with welcoming people, good food and cheap wine, the weather is great and we look forward to welcoming you here.

Notes: Baby and toddler equipment is available that includes; sterliser, blender, toddler cuttlery and crockery, storage pots, potty, baby bath, high chair, toddler chair, cots, bed guards. All of our properties have been made child friendly. We also include toys, board games and books for young and old, as well as a playstaion two console woith games and DVDs available. In the grounds are outdoor toys, a childrens playground with sand pit, slides and swings along side a football area and volley ball / badmington area. Inflatables and pool toys are also available with paddling pools that can be taken to the holiday homes if required.

The Vodafone Ski Resort is located at Torre, Seia County, right in the centre of the nature reserve, at an altitude of 2000 metres. Covered in a mantle of snow from December to April, thanks to an innovative artificial snow-producing process, the ski resort houses the support infrastructures for the practice of winter sports and provides sophisticated facilities such as latest-generation mechanical lifts and a modern pass identification system for the lifts. The Vodafone Ski Resort is the top destination in Portugal for lovers of winter sports, entertainment, and strong emotions.
