Located just a kilometer away from the property is Montemerano, a village more resembling of a medieval castle. Within the town?s walls is an ancient parish church of San Giorgio that is full of works of art from the year 1400, including the painting nicknamed the ?Madanno della Gattaiola.? Also in Montemerano are shops, street markets, wine, and delicious restaurants. Saturnia, one of the most historically important sites in the province of Grosseto, is an old Etruscan town with medieval walls and the remains of a Roman road, which was conducted in 183 BC. During the Golden Age, Saturn claimed Saturnia was the first city ever founded in Italy. Perhaps it is best known today for its thermal springs used for beauty treatments and relaxation. There are also restaurants and a gelato shop. There is a covered veranda with a table and chairs. A stone walkway leads from the veranda to the private swimming pool area that is furnished with loungers, a mini table, chairs, and a parasol. Near the pool is a gazebo covering yet another table with chairs. The villa is reached via a small paved road and then an unpaved road and parking is available at the main entrance of the property.
