Located southeast of Florence, Residenza Strozzi enjoys the best of both worlds convenient access to Florence and the peace of quiet of the Tuscan countryside. The property is located on the historic Strozzi-Riccardi estate. One of the most important Florentine families of the Renaissance period, the Strozzis competed with the Medicis for wealth and power. In 1489, Filippo Strozzi commissioned Benedetto Da Maiano to build Palazzo Strozzi. It would become one of the most significant examples of Italian architecture of the Renaissance. Originally a private chapel, the one-bedroom accommodation has been carefully restored to its original state. Furnishings include period antiques. Thanks to thick walls, the apartment remains cool even in summer. Residenza Strozzi has a large garden equipped with a table, chairs, and deck chairs.
