The palazzo dates back to the 14th Century, a time when the city was just beginning to expand beyond the Roman central nucleus. At that time, Via Tornabuoni and Piazza Antinori were side streets leading towards the Florence city limits. It was only in the mid-15th Century that the location around this apartment rental in Florence became the address for wealthy Florentines who bought and refurbished palaces to turn them into stately homes.

The master bedroom has a queen-size bed (can be made into two twin beds on request), period furniture and a large walk-in closet; adjacent to the bedroom is a bathroom with tub and handheld showerhead and a separate shower stall. The two additional bedrooms have twin beds (can be made into queen-size beds on request); each room has a spacious closet, painted furniture and beautiful fabrics. There are two bathrooms, one with tub and one with shower. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with a 4-burner gas stove, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, American coffee maker, and toaster.
