Location
This hamlet is located just 2 km away from Casole d'Elsa, an ancient brick village sitting on the ridge of a hill. You can still see some of the old walls, although the town gates are gone (the last was demolished by the Nazis in WWII). The most notable building is the 14th century "La Rocca," now the town hall, with its huge stone tower. Other sights include the churches of Santa Maria Assunta and San Niccolo, and the Pretorio and Casolani Palazzos. Nearby Volterra is also a regional gem, where you can truly capture that "hilltown experience" in full. From the characteristic main piazza to the Roman ruins, Volterra has something from every century all the way back to Etruscan times. Wander along the Etruscan walls, dating from the 4th century BC, or purchase your own alabaster memento in a nearby shop. Visit museums, the exterior of a 15th century fortress, or lounge in the Piazza dei Priori, one of the best town squares in the region-- and the site of many historic and often bloody events. There's plenty more to see and do in Volterra, but naturally we also recommend taking a few day trips into Siena, Florence, or even out to the beach!

Exterior Description
Situated in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, this rural hamlet is composed of several 17th century buildings which have been divided into apartments. Each accommodation is independent, while outdoor areas are shared. The hamlet is surrounded by gardens that include aromatic herbs, juniper hedges, myrtle, and lentisk. There is also a large shared swimming pool (8m x 16m, 1.6m deep) and a barbecue (with wood) available to all guests. There is also the added benefit of a characteristic restaurant, located in the old olive press, which is an ideal place for a romantic candle-lit dinner on the large panoramic terrace. Typical Tuscan meals are served, along with vegetarian dishes if desired. Also available is a conference room, accommodating up to 80 people, with modern equipment for conferences and screenings.

Interior Description
(71 m2) Ground Floor: The entrance to this apartment is through a small private terrace with a pergola of grape vines, equipped with furniture for outdoor dining. You will enter into a kitchen/dining room with a fireplace and characteristic pantry. The kitchen is equipped with a large granite sink, cook-top, small electric oven, and kettle.
First Floor: An internal staircase (15 steps) leads upstairs, where there are two bedrooms. The first bedroom is small and has a 160 cm queen-size bed and an en suite bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. The second bedroom also has a 160 cm queen-size bed. There is also a bathroom with a sink, toilet, and shower. From the corridor on the first floor, a French door grants access to the garden on the opposite side of the entrance.
