Overlooking Charlotte Amalie harbor & just a 5-min drive to town, Bellagio Estate was once the gracious home of a U.S. Ambassador. Two spacious & separate villas, plus a 2-bedroom cottage, are surrounded by expansive, landscaped gardens. In the center is a generous pool, outdoor shower, gas grill & wet bar. A private tennis court is just down from the pool deck. The Upper Villa boasts a large covered outdoor living area in crisp white island decor, with a trickling koi pond to lull you. A powder room & full kitchen are conveniently off this living area. Bedroom #1, a double (w/private bath) is tucked away on a small shady patio with palm trees just outside the kitchen. On the other side of this patio and down a corridor with floor-to-ceiling windows are 3 more bedrooms (king in bdrms #2 & #4 - and 2 twins in #3) and 2 baths. Down the stairs at the garden level (near the pool deck) is bdrm #5, a private, a/c king suite. All bedroom suites have cable TVs, & some have private sitting areas for space & privacy. Downstairs from the Upper Villa, on the pool deck, Bellagio's Lower villa (Main House) offers a living/dining room & another full kitchen from which guests can enjoy the views. A covered deck overlooking the pool is just off this living room. Two king bedroom/bath suites (#6 & #7) are adjacent to the living area, are fully a/c and have cable TV. Both suites are designed with old-world elegance & are furnished in classic mahogany furniture, along with all-marble bathrooms. A cool & private patio off these bedrooms provides a quiet spot to read or snooze. Below (via spiral staircase), the lower level of the Main House offers a game/media room with air hockey, pool table & all electronics, movies, books & games. This large room also doubles as an office (computer with DSL line, fax machine & printer/copier). Adjacent is a full bath & a/c queen bedroom (#8). Outside is a small cottage (tucked behind the Upper Villa) with 2 a/c bedrooms (#9 & #10) sharing bath, & private porch. Privacy is ensured by a gated entryway & 1.6 acres screened by lofty, mature trees such as mango, papaya, breadfruit, bamboo, & towering palms. The wonderfully-landscaped grounds provide a perfect environment for a private stroll. Bellagio Estate is comfortable rather than luxurious, with spacious grounds & room for large groups, bountiful amenities and many quaint & quiet nooks to enjoy.
