La Rade is a small, exclusive residence within walking distance of the village. The luxurious two-bedroom en suite apartment is located on the third (top) floor of the residence. The apartment is triple-aspect, sharing only one wall with another apartment. The entrance hallway opens onto an open-plan living room dining room and sliding doors onto the terrace with fantastic views of the bay and Cap Ferrat. The separate kitchen is modern and fully equipped with a door opening onto the beautiful garden. Both bedrooms are ensuite and have fitted wardrobes and sliding doors. There is a large mature private garden planted with lavender, palms and olive trees which both the kitchen and 2nd bedroom open onto. Accessed via a staircase, is a breathtaking, spacious roof terrace with 360o panoramic views of the bay and mountains. The apartment is fully air-conditioned, has Wi-Fi internet, Satellite TV, and a private garage. There is a shared swimming pool in the complex.

Located on the glamorous French Riviera, Villefranche is ideally located just 10 minutes from Nice, 15 minutes from Monaco / Monte-Carlo and 30 minutes from Nice-Cote d'Azur Airport (13km). The bus from Nice to Menton runs every 15 minutes.Villefranche railway station has regular frequent trains taking you to Antibes, Juan les Pins, Cannes, Eze sur Mer, Monaco, Menton and other Riviera villages. The apartment is in a great location being five minutes from the shops including a choice of 'boulangeries', supermarkets, greengrocers, a pharmacy, ATM, restaurants, bus-stop and public car park and 10 minutes to the sandy beach, or the 'Institute de Francais'. Popular day trips include Monaco for its Casino and Palace, Nice for its Old Town, its Promenade des Anglais and shopping, Paul de Vence for art, Cannes for the 'glitz' and Ventimiglia for its market.

  • A deposit of 25% is required on making the booking, the balance to be paid one month before arrival. On receipt of the deposit the renter will get a rental agreement. On receipt of the balance directions to the apartment and contact details for meeting the apartment manager will be forwarded. The manager will have the keys and show the renter around the apartment.
    The rental rate includes bed linen, towels, internet and electricity. Cleaning and laundry on leaving the apartment is an additional €100, which is payable together with a security payment of €500 to the apartment manager on collection of the keys. The security deposit will be refunded on return of the keys subject to no damage to the property, the fixtures or fittings. If convenient, the deposit can be held in any of the major currencies.
    Changeover is Saturday to Saturday. As change over is tight in the high season, access to the apartment will be 3pm or later on arrival, and departure will be before 10am.
  • The airport is approximately a 20 minute taxi ride to Villefranche.
  • If you require 5 double bedrooms or two families with separate apartments, this apartment is on the same floor as the three-bedroomed apartment (No. 94114) - providing you with extra rooms. They are located at opposite ends of the third (top floor) in sight of each other.

  • Both bedrooms have been decorated to a high standard and have comfortable high spec Tempur beds, air conditioning, fitted cupboards, wooden floors and marble en suite bathrooms The Master Bedroom looks out onto the Bay of Villefranche. It has a queen size Tempur bed with a motor which enables you to move the mattress into a sitting position or high leg position to make yourself more comfortable. The en suite marble bathroom has a full sized bath with shower, loo and bidet. The Garden Bedroom opens out onto the lovely west facing garden. There are 2 single Tempur beds. One of which has a motor which allows the user to move the mattress into a sitting position. The en suite shower room has a loo and separate shower stall with a hand rail.

Wheelchair access and for the elderly or infirm access is difficult as there are 5 steps to negotiate to get to the lift and garage. You are welcome to stay if you have someone who can help you up and down the steps.

Villefranche and the surrounding villages: Villefranche is perfectly located to have a relaxing or sporty holiday. The lovely medieval village with its colourful architecture is just a 10 minute stroll along the walls of the citadelle. In the village there is a choice of restaurants, shops and bars. On Saturday and Sunday there is the local market. Walk to the end of the seafront road and there is a lovely, long safe beach, ideal for kids. There is also the 'Lounge Bar' where you can have lunch with your toes in the sand or rent a sunbed for the day. Further around the bay is the Cap Ferrat. Worth visiting is the beautiful Villa Ephussi and for the kids - the zoo. In the next bay is Beaulieu, with a range of beaches, casinos and water sports facilities. Further around the coast is Eze with its magnificent citadelle, perfume factories and the notable restaurant Chevre d'Or. There is also the National Park in Eze with amazing views across Cap Ferrat to the Cap d'Antibes and the peaks of the southern Alps.

Shopping: For shopping, 10 minutes drive away, is Nice with a great variety from the better know exclusive brands of Louis Vitton, Hermes and Christian Dior to the large shopping centre - Nice Etoile. Monaco, 15 mins drive away, also has a very good selection of shops. For food shopping, there are the small supermarkets in Villefranche. For a larger shop there is the supermarket Champion, a 5 minute drive /bus trip away on the Cap de Nice. They will deliver groceries to the apartment.

Learn French: If you are interested in learning French, then go to the highly recommended Institute de Francais located in Villefranche, a 10 minute walk away from the apartment.
