San Siro: The community San Siro, which consists of 10 smaller villages situated on the western side of Lake Como, is approximately 5 - 7 km north of Menaggio and 12 km south of Gravedona. This is a good starting point for walks and excursion, from leisurely to more demanding: to the peak of Monte Grona (1756 m, fantastic panorama) or Monte Bregagno (2107 m), along the “Via dei Monti Lariani”, through forests at an altitude between 700-1200 m, passing old alpine huts with their fantastic views of the magestic Alps and Lake Como. Pebble beaches can be found near Santa Maria, near the Fort Rezzonico, and in Acquaseria. San Sero is known for genuineness of its villages as well as being located near Lake Como.
