Laboe: Wild stories are often told in Laboe - after all, the history of the Baltic resort as a harbor goes back to the beginning of the 19th century. Kieler Woche 2008 - Kiel Week: The world's largest sailing event and the largest summer festival in North Europe, the 'Kieler Woche', begins on 21.06 and ends 9 days later with a large firework display on Sunday 29.06. It attracts more than three million people from 70 countries to the regional capital of Schleswig-Holstein. The maritime high point comes on 23.06 where more than 100,000 onlookers follow the windjammer parade with more than 100 large and traditional sail boats. The naval training ship 'Gorch Fock' sails at the front of the parade.

Regional Capital Kiel: Kiel - found between Flensburg and Lübeck - it is one of the most important passenger harbors in Germany with about 250,000 residents. The regional capital is unmistakable and likable due to its maritime atmosphere. It has made itself a name amongst all international racing cities and belongs to one of the world's best estuaries for sailing. Every year, during the second half of June, the highlight the 'Kieler Woche' (Kiel Week) - the largest sailing event in the world - takes place. The city is also a naval base due to its location the Kiel fjord. Those who love culture can find a lot of attractions, galleries and museums. The Sophienhof, one of the largest, roofed shopping centers in Europe, is found in the city. The fine sand swimming beaches, forests, bogs and bluffs make this a popular holiday destination.

Golf: The fascination of golf: a small ball with a lot of power! Golf players know what I am talking about: 'It won't leave you. To lead a much too small of a ball into an unbelievably far away hole with an unsuited device, you would think it's actually impossible, but..!' The next golf course is about 10 minutes by car and there are at least 10 golf courses that can be reached within a 1 hour drive. These golf courses are all of very different types. Starting with 6-hole-practice courses up to 9, 18 or 27 hole courses - everything is here. The courses are wonderfully placed and very well-kept, some with a view of above the Baltic Sea or with a view of the sea. All courses are a good challenge for all players. After having a nice game, you can be pampered by the culinary treats at the restaurants.
