It takes about 15-20 minutes on the subway to grand central with includes the walk to the train station from the apartment. Located off Third Avenue, a major commercial street with plenty of shops and restaurants. Finding good, cheap eats is never a problem in East Harlem. You should definitely check out the plethora of small authentic Spanish restaurants.
