You can play on 3 former river patios that pass over a glacial moraine tract to the north. The golf and country club Karwendel is a public golf course and accessible to all golfers interested. *** Golf club in Oberau: this 18 hole course is located in Werdenfelser. From the course you will have a view of the bizarre mountain landscape of the Alps, Zugspitze and Waxenstein. The course is not a mountainous course in any sense. Steep slopes and a lot of sloping positions, as is usual on most courses near mountains, are hard to find here. It is flatter with light waves and is comfortable to walk through.

Ski: Alpine skiing: The Gletscher Skiing Region on the Zugspitze is a real magnet for Alpine skiers, snowboarders, carvers, and freestylers, who can also enjoy the classical descents and the plentiful snow. Zugspitze doesn’t only offer well prepared slopes; it is also a paradise with deep powdery snow. The Ski season this year starts with the Viva Winter Fun-Fest in November with a lot of fun and action. Beginners and professionals can choose their favourite slopes: 118 km descents for all levels of difficulty, among which, the world famous 'Kandahar', Germans only descent with a 'World-cup license'.
