It is famous for its world ranked golf course, its trout and salmon angling and its golden sandy beaches. Waterville lies on a narrow strip of land between the Athlantic and Lough Currane. Waterville and its surrounding area offers a number of breathtaking walks and places to see. The most scenic of these walks is the Coomakista Pass. Waterville village has many fine restaurants, pubs, shops, craft stores, post office, garage, internet cafés and coffee shops. The village has attracted many famous celebrities over the years, Charlie Chaplin, Tiger Woods, Payne Stewart, Mark O'Meara.......to name but a few.
