This beautiful adobe house with a red tile roof is set amidst the Sierra Madre mountains, on the outskirts of San Pablo Etla, about 25 minutes from downtown Oaxaca. Two verandas span the back of the house, ideal places to contemplate the stunning views. The 4000 square-meter property has a wide variety of native cacti and trees, and just up the road a few minutes begins the Benito Juarez State Park with unlimited hiking trails and views of the Valley of Oaxaca. Inside you’ll find three spacious bedrooms, all with panoramic views, decorated with bedspreads, and arts and crafts from the Oaxacan region. The living room has a fireplace and two comfortable couches, the dining area has a huge window facing the mountains. The house has 2 stereo systems and Internet access. The house has a complete kitchen and a laundry room equipped with a brand new washer. Maid service is available at a very modest additional rate. This is a great place for contemplation, ideal for artists and writers.

The region surrounding our house is rich in towns with authentic handicrafts and fabulous mountain scenery, and just a brief drive away is the archaeological site Monte Alban. A half-hour from San Pablo is beautiful Oaxaca, one of the most historical cities in all of Mexico. Oaxaca is famous for its Day of the Dead celebration at the very end of October, as well as the Night of the Radishes and other traditional holidays. And of course, this region is one of the nation's culinary centers.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • The house is available on a weekly or monthly basis.
    Optional maid service is $15-$20 per day.
    $600 deposit for weekly stays, $900 deposit monthly stays required; 90 day cancellation notice required.
    Off season $600/week; $1600/month; additional days $85/day
  • High season rates are $900/week or $2000/month. The high seasons shall hereby be defined as December 15-January 15, March 1-April 1, and October 24-November 7.
