The best and most economical means of transport in Spanish Wells is the ubiquitous golf cart, readily available for rent, but a bicycle is equally useful. The resort of Harbor Island is close by if you are looking for a nice day trip from Spanish Wells as are several other sightseeing and historic attractions on Eleuthera proper. The Royal Bank (with ATM) is located near by and the Post Office is right next door. Easily accessible from Nassau by Bahamas Fast Ferry (which takes you right to Spanish Wells) or you can also fly in to North Eleuthera airport which is a short water taxi and cab ride away.
