Area: Conveniently located mid-island, Palmetto Dunes provides quick access to all island activities. One of the great new additions to Palmetto Dunes is the Dunes Buggy. The Dunes Buggy provides quick and free transportation to anywhere in Palmetto Dunes and Shelter Cove. We also recommend the sunset dolphin cruise out of Shelter Cove. It is a great way to see the beauty of the island from Broad Creek. There is an abundance of nature to be seen throughout Palmetto Dunes and Hilton Head Island. Azaleas, wisteria, red buds, dogwoods, and bright yellow jasmine fill the warm air with fragrance and color. You may also spot elegant herons and egrets, white-tailed deer, or lagoon dwelling alligators and turtles. (Please don't feed the alligators) There is so much to see and do on the island.
Golf: Boating, fishing, sailing, golf, tennis, lazing at the beach, golf, water skiing, scuba diving, kayaking, biking, beach combing, golf, flying kites, watching dolphins play and pelicans dive, catching crabs, and did I mention golf? Oh, and there is also miniature golf, horseback riding, and nature trails. There's so much to do, we can't list it all here.
