Activities:: The condo is only a 4 min taxi ride (15-20 min walk) to downtown Playa del Carmen where 5th Avenue is the center of shopping, where hundreds of bargains can be found from beautiful Mexican pottery to hammocks, hand-crafted jewelry - especially silver & amber - to artisan works. Restaurants and nightclubs abound, (Senor Frog, Carlos & Charlie, La Parilla, etc). Several clubs are located directly on the beach. (Captain Tutix, Blue Parrot etc.) Off 5th Avenue is the fast, modern ferry to Cozumel. Ocean and cenotes scuba diving, snorkeling, sailing and fishing trips etc. are available. Playa del Carmen is centrally located for 1/2 or full day trips. It is only a short bus ride to Xcaret (swim with the dolphins), Xel-Ha, Tres Rios, Tulum Mayan ruins and Cancun. Car rental (Avis) is available in the Playacar shopping center, a brief walk from the condo, or directly across the street at Reef Resort.
Area:: The area is beautiful with palm tree and flower-lined streets. Playa del Carmen is centrally located with Cancun to the north and Puerto Aventuras, Tulum, Xcaret, and Xel Ha to the south.
