There is also some very good BoneFishing (Andros is known as the 'Bonefishing capital of the world') right off of our beaches. If you are interested in Sport or Spear Fishing off of a 28'sportfishing boat (for Mahi Mahi, Dolphin, Grouper, and other large game fish), Guided Snorkeling Trips, or a BoneFishing boat & guide, Rodney Miller (a local Bahamian fisherman) will be glad to set up an island adventure that you won't forget. He will pick you up in his boat right in front of the house!!! Let us know if you are interested in these options. For the non-fisherman, Kayaking, walking the empty beaches, relaxing in the crystal clear waters on floating chairs, Biking on the Complementary Bicycles provided, and beach combing for shells is a favorite pastime. In addition, Andros is an excellent place to go for Bird Watching. There are more than 300 species of birds found in the Bahamas.

One hundred and nine species breed in the Bahamas, 169 species migrate or winter here, and 45 species are vagrants. Pleasant Dreams can be rented in two different ways: 1. As a Three Bedroom 2 Baths (sleeps 6) or 2. As a Two Bedroom 1 Bath (sleeps 4). The whole house is always yours, we just rent the smaller portion if there is a smaller party and they don't need the whole house for a cost savings. The Master Bedroom is located on one side of the house and can be locked separately so that the whole house does not need to be rented if you do not need the space. The Master Bedroom has a King Size Bed with an Ocean View, and a small private bath with a shower. Main House has two bedrooms, which can either be made into Two King Size Bed (with pillow tops) Or Two Twins Beds in Each Room (We just need to know ahead of time what configuration you would like). We also have an additional trundle bed and air beds for extra sleeping arranged upon request and with permission

One bedroom has a beautiful Ocean View the other, overlooking the gardens and coconut palms swaying in the breeze. The bath in the main house has a tub/shower combination. The Kitchen is modern with stainless steel tables and open shelving, gas stove, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, and a full refrigerator. The Living Room/Dining Room is pleasantly furnished with a large dining room table which seats 8-10, beach house rattan living room furniture, a TV/VCR (for viewing movies only), large supply of movies, and a working fireplace for those cool January evenings. Andros is known as an 'Outer or Family Island' which requires some explanation. No one (that we know of) takes credit cards, and travelers checks can be a problem (not everyone takes them or they charge you extra to use them). Cash is the best thing to bring for money. There is an ATM on the island that you can access if you need more cash, it is located a couple of miles from our house.

Ski: It is great fun to Kayak out to Money Cay to look for sand dollars. Pleasant Dreams uses a cistern (rain water) for it's water supply, which makes water a precious commodity, and ask our renters to be aware of this and conserve it. The water could most likely be drunk, however, we provide portable drinking water (Andros Pure) for your convenience. We hope you have gotten a flavor for our getaway. We believe vacationing in Andros is one of the best kept secrets of all time, and hope that you will feel the same. Amenities: Pleasant Dreams provides two free two-seater tandem Sea Kayaks and four paddles, however, if you choose to use them we require a credit card number security, and a signed kayak agreement. Internet Access: (dial up) Bring your own laptop. Car Rental: $60.00 a day (however many days you would like), delivered to the house for you.

Golf: There is truly no shopping to speak of, sophisticated living, fancy dining, or night life. Although there are a few local restaurants in the area that serve local Bahamian cooking, and there are a few very small local grocery stores, within biking distance of our house. You come to Andros to escape the crowds, relax, cook in, and enjoy the beautiful natural environment. Our Caretaker Hank Williams will be available to you if there are any questions or need anything (he lives on the island and will check in with you as you like), and he offers a great Day adventure on the island which includes a visit to beautiful inland Deep Blue Holes which extend the into the depths of the ocean (explored by Jacques Cousteau) for a cool fresh water swim, Bahamian lunch, and adventurous limestone cave exploration if requested. Two Free Tandem Sea Kayaks are available for your use with a credit card number security, and signed rental agreement.

Guest Book: A Personal Phone at the house (no long distance calls from personal phone please!) can be provided upon request at no cost with a credit card number security, and a signed phone agreement. Your cell phone from the states will not work there. Quick Cell and regular Batelco phone cards can be purchased at local grocery stores or the phone company for calling long distance. Linens and Towels are provided. Hawaiian Sling (spear) for use if you ask. All rooms Air Conditioned. TV/VCR and large selection of movies (no cable). Washer & Dryer Ceiling Fans in every room 4 Bicycles Hair Dryers Beach Side Hammocks Activities: Swimming, Snorkeling, Boating, Kayaking, Sport and Bone Fishing, Spear Fishing, Shelling, Bird Watching, Biking, Scuba diving and boat charters available upon request. The best activity of all: relaxing on the hammock with a good book in the ocean breezes.
