Great Lakefront Getaway!: Toddy Pond is the perfect lake for a Maine getaway. Ten miles long, but only a mile or so wide, it has three distinct sections, and many rock outcroppings, making it the choice for those looking for a quieter alternative to other area lakes. (It’s not conducive to large pleasure boats because of its topography.) The home is located on the western shore of the middle section. So if you are looking for a place of solitude to relax, swim, fish, and canoe, but with the convenience of nearby attractions, this is the place for you. Very centrally located. Castine, Blue Hill, Deer Isle, and Stonington are all lovely trips a short distance from the home.
