There is a TV/ VCR/DVD player and movies and games to entertain you if you get bored with outdoor activities. The large sun porch leading off from the sitting room is furnished with a table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy the incredible scenery. The kitchen has marble floors and beautiful cabinets. You will find it very well equipped with toaster, coffee maker, blender, dishwasher, microwave etc. There are plenty of dishes and glasses for all your needs. The dining room seats 6 comfortably. The master bedroom is large with a king sleigh bed, and has french doors leading out to the sunroom and lake. It also has a fireplace and TV. The bathroom is very beautiful and even has a bidet. Upstairs you will find another seating area and two bedrooms, bathroom and laundry room. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other two twin beds. Outside there is a lovely gazebo if you want to sit outside and enjoy the sunsets and the lake. There is also a BBQ grill and a hot tub.

In the spring - autumn months you may bring a boat and dock it at the cottage's private dock. But in the winter the lake freezes, and only the avid fishermen like to go ice fishing.
Amenities:
The Deep Creek Lake area is a four season resort area with something to do throughout the year. Summer time is great for lake activities -- boating, fishing, swimming, jet skiing, white water rafting. There are two challenging golf courses close by and horse stables if you want to go on a trail ride. There are also many entertainment areas (with miniature golf, racing track etc.) In the winter the ski resort (WISP - across the lake from the cottage) is open from December to mid-March. It has 22 ski slopes to meet the needs of skiers of all abilities. You can also go tubing, or cross-country skiing and enjoy a romantic sleigh ride in the state park. For those who want a more leisurely time you can sit back and enjoy the view from the sun room, or travel by boat to a restaurant.

There are concerts and performances throughout the year, plus many antique shops. In the winter, this area becomes a winter wonderland. You can see the ski slopes from the cottage (Maryland's only ski resort) and if you don't enjoy downhill skiing you can always try the cross-country variety. And in the fall the colors are breathtaking. We believe our views rival New England's any day. The maples and hickory turn into these incredible hues of red and yellow. The lake stays open until early November and then the ski slopes open for Thanksgiving.
Activities:
The Deep Creek Lake area is a four-season resort. We got over 150 inches of snow in the winter months and it really is a winter wonderland with so much winter fun - skiing (downhill and cross-country), tubing, sledding, ice fishing and even sleigh rides. Spring - Autumn months revolve around the lake and water sports: swimming, boating, fishing, white-water rafting, kayaking.

Golf: Horse back riding is available year-round. Two great golf-courses provide a keen challenge to any golfer. Hiking in the six state parks and forests is a must for the outdoor enthusiast. BR B Area: /B BR The cottage is in the heart of Deep Creek Lake. Apart from the obvious boating, fishing and swimming there are also many other things to recommend the area. We are close to Amish country and you will see the Amish going about their business. There are also numerous antique shops. The smallest church in the U.S. is 45 minutes away. Frank-Lloyd Wright's 'Falling Water' is less than 45 minutes away. Our autumn colors are breathtaking in October.
