Information about this house rental in Lake Chapala

This is an amazing opportunity to be in real Mexico with all the beauty and comfort one would want. The home situated on approximately 1 acre and is surrounded by a ten-foot high stone wall covered with bougainvillea. The property has avocado, grapefruit, tangerine, banana, orange, lemon, and lime trees. Also, dozens of roses, birds of paradise, and other flowers too numerous to mention. We go to the home often, but are flexible as to time. Housekeeper and gardener are a married couple and are long time employees who are extremely friendly and very helpful. This vacation rental home is located in Jocotepec, just ten minutes from Ajijic, where there are numerous restaurants, shopping, medical facilities, and art centers (Mexican crafts are everywhere), and the Guadalajara Airport is just 40 minutes to the north. The town of Jocotepec has local markets (with all fresh produce) every day and large markets twice a week.

Jocotepec has numerous fine shops and restaurants, some with the local specialty called Barria (goat stew). The home is a short 3 block walk to the center of town. New decorator open tiled shower in Master bathroom with 4 stained glass windows; exquisite furnishings; beautiful garden fountain with fish; washer/dryer; large dining room and large living room; Folk art from all over Mexico everywhere; working fireplace in living room. Housekeeper and gardener are included in the cost of rental. Activities: There are numerous golf courses, swimming pools, natural thermal hot pools, horseback riding, biking, hiking and of course trips to Guadalajara, Talaquepaque, and Tonala for crafts. Located within 5 minutes is the town of San Juan Cosala where there are numerous thermal pools for swimming and a natural sauna. We are 5 minutes from Lake Chapala and our view of the Lake and Mt. Garcia is unobstructed.
