Exploring Tuscany : La Croce farmhouse is in the heart of Chianti, not far from the road that leads from Florence to Greve. Traditionally decorated and furnished, it makes an atmospheric and evocative holiday base from which to explore Tuscany.
Vine-covered hills: La Croce Tuscan Farmhouse lies in some of Italy's most famous countryside ... the rolling vine-covered hills which produce Chianti and the famous 'Super Tuscan' wines. As you can imagine, there is a huge pride in the culinary tradition of this part of Tuscany and the area abounds in excellent restaurants and trattorias.
Florence/Siena: Chianti lies between Siena and Tuscany's capital, Florence, two mighty cities which have long been rivals. Both are well worth spending some time on, with Florence in particular offering a breathtaking concentration of important artworks and Renaissance and medieval architecture. Both cities also have active social calendars and a regular diet of markets, pageants and exhibitions.
