Port Antonio is a town that is known for its picturesque and un-crowded beaches, the famous Blue Lagoon and the soaring majesty of the Blue Mountains. Situated on the northeast coast of Jamaica, this area is a delight to travelers who appreciate nature and a relaxed pace. Visitors also are attracted to its authenticity, where locals far outnumber tourists in this port town. Called an “elite retreat” by Frommer’s Jamaica, Port Antonio has long been a favorite getaway destination among celebrities.

Accomodations & architechture: Norse Hill is a marvel of stone, wood and glass. The large entry foyer leads to a grand spiral staircase over a fountain. An oversized living room opens wide to the rear grounds and sea view. The formal dining room opens on each side to the same beautiful views and fresh breezes. By opening the floor-to-ceiling doors that line the entire rear of the villa, the inside combines naturally and seamlessly with the outside and becomes one.

The villa features four expansive bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate eight (8) guests. Each bedroom has the option of either a single king bed or two double beds. All bedrooms feature dressing rooms with en-suite baths. Three bedrooms with balcony views are located upstairs, while the ground floor bedroom includes two double beds with an additional sleeping loft. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, although this hilltop retreat enjoys a constant breeze, making it much cooler than villas situated at sea level. Plans are also under way for two new villas on the grounds that will boost the estate’s capacity to 12-14 guests.
