About Kailua: Welcome to Kailua on the island of Oahu, home of Kailua and Lanikai beach and one of the nicest places on earth. There are no hotels, no motels, no Kailua resorts or timeshares. A local families has opened this cottage to visitors from all around the world. There's no airport here in Kailua. No train station. To get here, you'll come by taxi, car, bus or rent-a-car most likely from Honolulu International Airport or Waikiki. In Kailua you'll find a lot of great restaurants * American, Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mexican, Moroccan, Thai, and Vietnamese cuisine plus great desserts, drive-ins with local food, juice bars, pizza shops, the best deli's on O‘ahu, sports bars, breakfast restaurants, cocktail lounges, karaoke parlors, and coffee houses. There's plenty to eat and lots of great taste in Kailua. Windsurfing surfing, paddle boarding and kite boarding was invented here! Among great Kailua activities you'll find kayaking and windsurfing rentals and scuba diving.
