Guest Review: We couldn't believe our eyes and our senses when we stayed at 'The Gift'. Our home away from home is a casually elegant farmhouse appointed with early American antiques and every modern comfort. The attention to detail made us feel very comfortable. The cozy fireplace is framed by sun drenched windows on either side. The modern kitchen is a cook's delight. Out of the two bedrooms we chose to sleep in the large upstairs loft with a surround sound entertainment system. We didn't even get to use the system downstairs. Ahh, the steam room for two is a must-use. Because of the cold weather we didn't get to use the wrap around screened in porch, but will do so on our next visit. The village of Woodstock is a just a 7 minute ride which rounded out our get-away weekend. We certainly could have stayed longer.' Roberta/Terry Ossining, NY

Guest Review: We are from NYC and wanted to escape the city and spend my 40th birthday in a secluded house in the woods. We spent so much time looking for the perfect getaway place. We found 'The Gift' and it seemed too good to be true. Judy, the owner, was wonderful. The house is amazing! The pictures on the website do not do it justice. We ended up spending evenings at home, cooking in the gourmet kitchen, soaking in the hot tub, playing games and laughing so much. Thanks Judy! This weekend was really special and we will certainly be back. Marty, NYC In a word, romance. we had the thrill of staying in this luxurious cottage this past weekend. Not only is it in a fabulous location perfect for visiting food markets and shops, but it also gives you the perfect base to experience the country in a manner that the average tourist never really does. The cottage is a godsend for two couples or friends. The ahhhhhhh feeling was great. We will definitely be back.

Miguel & Edith Words and pictures cannot describe the beauty of this cottage. It is truly a gift!. My boyfriend and I spent five days in this relaxing, sanctuary. I was astonished by the loving detail put throughout the cottage. The kitchen is absolutely beautiful and inspired us both to find our inner chefs. After a strenuous day of hiking we soaked our tired muscles in the outdoor hot tub. The tree lights added to the soothing atmosphere. One of my favorite parts of the cottage was the wrap around porch it was a great spot to get lost in a novel. Judy made us feel at home and was very helpful and before and during our stay.
