Location - Grand Gorge NY: Grand Gorge is located in the Northern Catskill Mountains of New York State. It is 160 miles Northwest of New York City and 60 miles Southwest of Albany, NY. It takes approximately 3 hours from Midtown Manhattan to Grand Gorge. It may take considerably longer if you leaving during a Friday evening rush hour or on Prime Holiday weekends. The prime holidays for weekend traffic are Christmas, New Year's, and any officially observed three- day holiday such as Martin Luther King's Birthday, President's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day. Other holiday's where you may expect heavy traffic are Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Forth of July, Columbus Day and Thanksgiving. The nearest town which has a food market is Prattsville - 3 miles away. It is 15 miles to both Ski Windham and Hunter Mountain. Other ski areas, such as Ski Plattikill, Deer Run, Belleayer Mt, are a bit further away.
Amenities: This is a single cabin located on 30 private acres. There are no other stores, businesses, etc. at the facility during your stay. You will have the entire 30 acres property to yourselves. Weekend Herbal classes are offered at this property during the summer and these weekends are not available to renters. This location is extremely private. You can not see any houses from the cabin.
