Sea Isle City, NJ: Located in Cape May County on a Barrier Island, Sea Isle City is approximately 140 miles south of New York City, 75 miles east of Philadelphia and 170 miles north of Washington, DC. The founder of this distinctive town, Charles K. Landis, was so fascinated by a trip to Venice that he tried to re-create the canals at home in the late 1800’s. The five miles of beaches surrounded by water on all sides gave him the perfect opportunity to create a New Jersey Shore vacation destination that offered a European atmosphere that is undeniably unique.
