The Setting: Our property sits right on Lake Champlain with breathtaking views of the Vermont mountains. The house itself is set 300 feet back from a quiet dead end street. The property slopes down to the beach, which is remarkably like a pool: the lake bottom here consists of large flat plates of stone that make it easy to just walk right into the lake in summer. In the winter, when the lake is frozen, you can ski right out for the best cross country skiing imaginable.
The Living Rooms: The vaulted living area on the main level is an open plan, with plenty of room for entertaining. You'll marvel at the 14 foot vaulted ceiling and french doors overlooking the lake. We've just installed a 42 inch Plasma TV with DirecTV for those nights when you just want to relax. There is a thermostatically controlled gas fireplace on each level; no need to haul firewood! The second living area on the lake level also has its own gas fireplace, and a fully restored and tuned Kroeger baby grand piano.
The Kitchens: The main level kitchen is the envy of any gourmet chef: The refrigerator/freezer, convection oven, dishwasher and range-top are all stainless steel Kitchen Aid Architect Series. The 33-bottle wine cooler is GE Profile. The stackable Washer/Dryer is top-of-the-line Frigidaire. The second kitchen on the lake level is a full kitchen with a dining area and all new appliances, including separate Washer/Dryer.
