About Buladean, NC: Buladean is a tiny community located sixty miles northeast of Asheville in the majestic Unaka Mountain Range. It is situated in Mitchell County, which is well known for its incredible scenery and naturally occurring Rhododendron gardens. Buladean is a lovely place to get away from it all, yet a convenient location to many of North Carolina's most exciting attractions. The North Toe River flows through the county and joins the Nolichucky River, known as one of the best whitewater rafting rivers in the country. Just a few of the other activities available in the area include hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, canoe trips and downhill skiing. For those wanting relaxation, it's also the ideal location to catch up on reading amidst scenic views. Buladean is just a short drive to Roan Mountain State Park, Grandfather Mountain, the Appalachian Trail and Linville Falls.
