Lots to Do in Puerto Rico: The hotel beach is great and the walk is about 15 minutes. Golfing is world class on the resort courses, two are Rio Mar and 4 more close by. Just watch out you don't step on an iguana, they are everywhere and add a unique experience you don't get at other golf resorts. The location of the Rio Mar is perfect for an extended stay in PR. The rainforest is very close and you can take the Bio Bay tours from Fajardo (a must) as well as the island ferries. We went to Culebra for a day and the beach is really great. Shopping at the factory outlet mall and Super Walmart is only 15 minutes away and San Juan is 35 minutes, so excursions for supplies or sightseeing is easy. Bacardi Rum Tour in Catano. A Corner of Paradise: Welcome to Puerto Rico's best beach area. Rio Mar PR is a corner of paradise, with emerald hills that overlook golden beaches and crystal waters, where the sun sets behind a mountain in the sea. Our tropical temperature averages 82 degrees, F. (28 degrees, C.). The evening temperatures can be cooler in the winter months, especially in the hills. You may want to bring long pants and a dress for the casinos and upscale restaurants. We recommend bringing more than one swimsuit. On some Winter nights, a light sweater or jacket may be required. Rio Mar is a major golf destination around the world. You can swim, snorkel, dive, go deep sea fishing, kayak all over and enjoy the wonderful rainforest.

My Favorite Places in the Area: One of my favorite places in San Juan is the Market in Santurce---there you will find all kinds of fresh tropical fruits and veggies! Also there are great restaurants around the market with chairs outside to sit on---- and on the weekends they have live music---a great place to party---all within a short trip from Villa Ines. Also check out the Local Market in Rio Piedras if you are interested in the local foods and herbs. Sing your way back to the dock as you drink wiki ticki drinks with rum and enjoy the sun as the girls walk down the beaches in those nice bikinis. On many of the beaches in Puerto Rico you will find the giant sea turtles nesting ---this is a great night adventure --- watching as they nest and lay their eggs, many people come to help protect these giants of the sea.
