Further details about this house rental
Nearby Activites:: One of the highlights of your stay is certain to be an excursion to the Kruger National Park where you have the chance to see the big five in their natural habitat. Phabeni Gate is a mere 10km and Paul Kruger Gate only 45km from Cambalala. Other attractions include: Bourke's Luck / Pilgrim's Rest / Pinacle Rock / Blyde River Canyon / Long Tom Pass / God's Window / Numerous Waterfalls / Horseriding / Nature walks / River rafting / Kloofing/Canyoning / Wall climbing / Paintball / Quad biking / Abseiling / Canoeing / Bird watching / 4x4 Trails.
Shopping and Eating in the area:: There are many shops, banks and restaurants all within 1 km of Kruger Park Lodge for all your self-catering needs. Within Hazyview you can easily find groceries, drinks, books, clothes, arts, crafts & curios etc. Scattered around you will also find roadside stalls offering locally produced arts and craft items for sale. Items may include painted tablecloths, wooden carvings, bead work, baskets, clay pots and other traditional items. Whether you are eating in or out there's something to suit all tastes. Kruger Park Lodge has a good restaurant on site which offers an a la carte menu or international buffet, served in a bush lodge atmosphere. The restaurant is also a Wiessenhof coffee bar. Of course the best way to enjoy the atmosphere is to make your own Braai (barbeque) at the guest house, however if you want to go out there are many tantalising options which we can advise you on.
Kruger National Park:: Africa at its natural best. South Africa's premier game reserve is only a 10 minute drive from the guest house. The world renowned Kruger National Park offers a wildlife experience that ranks with the best in Africa. It is home to 'The big five' - Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo. You will find an abundance of other fascinating animals too such as hyenas, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, monkeys, antelope, and stunning birdlife from the smallest weaver bird to the majestic African Fish Eagle. A visit to the Kruger will always leave you with colourful stories to tell and is definitely a wildlife experience of a lifetime. Guided walking tours, dawn and night drives into the Kruger can be booked from the reception area at Kruger Park Lodge or you may prefer to drive yourself. Whatever you decide, make sure to bring the camera as the Kruger will undoubtedly be the highlight of your trip to South Africa.
Golf: Mpumalanga is best known for it's dramatic eastern escarpment and the Big Five areas in, and around, the Kruger National Park. These fine attractions, combine well with excellent golf courses, to make the area an unforgettable golfing destination. -= Golf Courses: =- • 1) Kruger Park Lodge: This Lowveld 9-hole golf course is a product of the Gary Player Design Company. It offers a refreshing balance between challenge and playability. • 2) Skukuza: Skukuza is a magnificent 9-hole (18-tee) course situated in the world-renowned Kruger National Park on the outskirts of Skukuza rest camp. A harmonious close-to-nature golfing experience. Since the Skukuza golf course is not fenced-in, uninvited spectators like hippo, impala, warthog and baboons are a common sight. • 3) Sabi River: One of only four 18-hole golf courses in the beautiful Mpumalanga lowveld. Water is plentiful here and is present in the form of a hazard on all but four of the 18 holes. • 4) White River: Located within the tranquil White River Country Estate, this beautiful Gary Player / Reg Taylor designed golf course is invariably enjoyed by golfers of all levels. • 5) Leopard Creek: Johann Rupert created Leopard Creek, and with Gary Player, designed a championship 18-hole golf course as its center piece. They wanted a course which friends could play and enjoy yet which could also test the best of players. • 6) Others: Pilgrims Rest Golf Course, Nelspruit Golf Course, Hans Merensky Golf Course
Other Activities: Safaris, Bird Watching, and many adventure activities like: Canyoning, White Water Rafting, Quad Biking, Abseiling, Mountain Boarding, Kayaking etc
