Sugar Loaf Fire Lookout, continuously open for more than 100 years, towers above our lodge and provides spectacular views. It can easily be reached by 4-wheel in the summer and snowmobile in the winter. For recreationalists, these surroundings provide four seasons of activity and adventure. ARTS & THEATER: Rich in Art and Theater, Leavenworth’s longest running festival is “Art in the Park”, an outdoor juried art show that runs from May thru October. . The show adds to the already great galleries in town and abundance in musical performances including free weekend entertainment from the gazebo downtown. The whole month of July is dedicated to the Icicle Creek Music Chamber Festival with numerous world renowned musicians coming to Leavenworth to perform.
