- There are 2 bedrooms and an alcove on the mezzanine that sleep up to 5 guests. Bedroom 1- one queen sized bed, has own balcony with views to the mountains Bedroom 2- 2 twin beds, has own balcony with mountain views as well as coastline to the south Alcove- one bed, has own dresser, night table, and a small window for fresh air The bedrooms have very high ceilings that keep with fans that make them naturally cooler. Also, the house has been situated to take advantage of the regular breezes from the sea. Each bed has its own mosquito net, and plug ins are available as well. All the furnishings were custom designed and built by local craftsmen. The mezzanine is about 12 sq. meters. In addition to the alcove, it has a sitting area that overlooks the living room.

EXCURSIONS: Stoupa is in the middle of a very beautiful area. Along the coast, there are several other charming villages to visit, (Kardimili, Agios Nikolaos, Agios Dimitrios, and Trachila). Each is unique and all are well worth a visit. There is a paved path along the coastline between Stoupa and Agios Nikolaos. It is specifically for either pedestrian or bicycle use, and is about 2 km in length. It offers wonderful sea views with a mountain background. In a distance from 4-18 km. from Stoupa, there are lovely mountain villages to explore that take you back in time to 50 years ago. Most of them have a small taverna or two where you can stop and enjoy dishes prepared with local products. There are two separate loops that can be driven. Each of them passes through several villages and you can take anywhere from one hour to all day to complete your journey.
MANI REGION: The Mani region of Greece lies in the southernmost part of the Peloponnese. Starting at Kalamata, it follows the Taygetos mountain range south to Cape Tenaron. Combining picturesque mountain villages with their stone tower-houses and lovely seaside villages, the Mani is a place of extraordinary beauty. From the wall of Verga, just south of the modern city of Kalamata, to villages of traditional Mani Fighting Towers in the southern end of the peninsula, the Mani is a region where the past and present coexist in close proximity. Scant kilometers from fishing villages with modern hotels, restaurants and internet cafes catering to summer tourists lie beautiful mountain villages, nestled amid olive groves, that have changed little in the last hundred years. While a popular spring and summer destination for European and American travelers, the Mani is untouched by the commercial mass-tourism industry.
