The Palm Room is the master bedroom with is own bath, the Quilt Room looks like the old Hawaiian era with a Hawaiian Quilt on the bed and there's the Surf Room that teenagers and kids love! Two bedrooms each have one queen bed and the third with double bed with 250 +thread count linens, and spa robes. Each room has ceiling fans for cooling the air, plus floor fans.

Ceiling fans in every room cool the air. This area is reported by scientists to have the freshest air in the United States, so breathe deeply! Listen to the sound of the waves lull you to sleep. Wake up to a beautiful Hawaiian sunrise through the trees. Walk only about 90 steps to the waters edge for a dip in the bay. We're only 9 miles to the quaint town of Pahoa with grocery stores, restaurants, banks, post office and stores are available. Don't miss the large Makuu Farmer's Market on Sundays for local fruits and vegetables and Hawaiian made crafts. Travel the famous 'red road' to Ahalanui Park, a few miles down the road, Pohoiki Bay where local fishermen launch their boats and surfers ride the waves. Visit black sand beaches or go 'au naturel' on Kehena Beach.
Local Sights and attractions: The lava flow viewing site is only about a 20 minute drive away. See the many waterfalls this side of Hawaii has to offer. Hilo is only 35 miles away and Volcano National Park is 29 miles. Don't forget to see the Thurston Lava Tube. Lava Tree Park is a must see on your way in. Come and enjoy the vacation and experience of a lifetime, at Kapoho Joes Beach House. You can kayak the bay in our two-man kayak provided, or float on the calm Champagne Pond just a few minutes walk.
