Although Whale Run does not have direct walking beach access (it's built on solid rock just 50 feet above the waves), there are several excellent walking beaches close by.

Golf: Whales, spectacular Pacific sunsets, or the night stars are all more fun from the vantage point of the hot tub. As the waves crash into the rocks right below you, the spray blasts high into the air -- higher than your second floor deck, reminding one of Fourth of July fireworks.
