Choosing the Condado Area : Condado Beach has been the premiere holiday destination in San Juan since the 1960's! That's because of location. It is convenient to the financial and educational centers of the city; to Old San Juan, the vibrant 500 year-old colonial center home to remarkable festivals, dining and sightseeing; and to the International Airport which is the hub of the Caribbean. It is also because of the beach. The surf at Condado Beach is popular with locals who test their skills on weekends. Within two blocks of the Apartment are half a dozen hotels with casinos, restaurants, shops, and two car rental agencies. It's a vacation mecca. You don't need a car to enjoy yourself fully at Condado. When you want to take a day to explore the island, simply arrange to rent a car within two blocks and drop it off at night when you return. Condado is a premiere destination to which you can return again and again.
Expecting Comfort and Security : Condado Beach is a well established tourist area in San Juan. Our apartment building, Condominium Stella Maris, is located on the West side of Condado Avenue right on the beach. The building is a gated community where you will feel comfortable and secure, yet enjoy taking in the local beach scene from the spectacular view from your apartment. The elevator is keyed, and only those with the key to your floor can access it. There are four apartments on each floor, so you will most likely get to know your neighbors. We do not compete with major hotel chains, but neither do we charge the $300/night rates! We pride ourselves in providing apartments that are clean and functional. Each year we stay in the apartments and add amenities to upgrade them. So each time you come you will note changes and improvements for your enjoyment. In 2005 we installed new glass windows that make up the beach-side wall of each apartment and included new, larger capacity air conditioners. Come to enjoy yourself.
Enjoying the Apartment: The unit reflects our personal tastes and it might feel like you are entering someone else's space... which is what you are doing when you rent. We love San Juan and Puerto Rico, we try to spend as much time as we can there! We rent the unit out whenever we are not on Island. The apartment have a bathroom with tub and shower, a kitchen with full sized fridge and stove, microwave, all the pots, pans and utensils that you need to prepare basic food and keep your costs down. There is a TV with cable and a phone for local calls. You can connect to the Internet using modem (and AOL etc) and there are hot spots to be found at hotels and restaurants for using WiFi. We supply linens and towels so all you have to do is bring some clothes, personal items and a bathing suit to enjoy yourself. Think of us when you are planning your trip to Puerto Rico.
