Sightseeing: You are close to all area sightseeing (about 10-25 minute drive) including - Polynesian Cultural Center (most visited attraction on Oahu), Waimea Falls and Waimea Botanical Gardens, historic Haleiwa (shopping, galleries, restaurants, beaches), Dole Plantation (try the Pineapple maze - fun for the kids), Kualoa Ranch (great tours), and all the major surf spots - Banzai Pipeline, Sunset, Waimea, to name a few. Skydiving and Glider tours are available at Dillingham Airfield and are popular. These activities are available at Turtle Bay Resort for you - horseback riding, golf, tennis, kayak tours, helicopter tours, surfing (lessons), snorkeling, numerous restaurants (casual, forma, indoor, outdoor, oceanside), gift shops, Spa Luana at Turtle Bay, sand volleyball court, whale watching (December - April), walking/jogging/hiking trails (12 miles of beachfront and forested), luau shows, or just plain relaxing on the beach! Restaurants at Turtle Bay Resort -walking distance: There are numerous restaurants at the resort - both casual and formal, beachfront, indoor and outdoor! They include: Lei Lei's, Ola's on the Beach, 21 Degrees North, Palm Terrace, Hang Ten Bar and Grill, Bay Club, and Sunday Brunch
Golf: Our guests enjoy a wonderful discount of approximately 20% to play either the Palmer or Fazio courses. Enjoy varied breathtaking scenery at the Arnold Palmer Course. The front nine reminds golfers of true Scottish Links with its sand, water, wind and rolling terrain. The back nine takes a dramatic shift as it meanders through a jungle forest of ironwood pine and a wetlands bird sanctuary. The 17th hole is unquestionably the signature hole on the course with no less than nine craggy bunkers surrounding the landing area and extending all the way up to the green. The 17th green sits on a plateau only 100 feet from the ocean. The Palmer Course surrounds a beautiful wetland preserve known as the Punaho'olapa Marsh. This 100-acre preserve is home to many endangered species of Hawaiian birds. A man-made moat separates the wetlands from the golf course. Hawai‘i’s only golf course designed by the renowned George Fazio, the Fazio Course boasts generous fairways, deep bunkers and immaculately sculpted greens. The Course has hosted the LPGA Tour's Hawaiian Open and was the site of the first Senior Skins Game, which included Arnold Palmer, Chi Chi Rodriguez, Gary Player and Sam Sneed.
