Golf details: Humber Valley’s River Course, voted “Canada’s Best New Course 2007” by SCOREGolf Magazine, is an 18-hole, par 72 championship golf course measuring 7,199 yards. The course, which affords dramatic views over Humber Valley, including Deer Lake and the Humber River, was designed by distinguished Canadian golf course architect Doug Carrick, who is known for creating courses of great character and beauty. Its layout, with gently rolling terrain, generous fairways and undulating greens, gives experienced golfers a welcome challenge yet also provides an enjoyable round for novices. Breathtaking views can be enjoyed from most of holes culminating in the 18th, where the backdrop rises to an elevation of 400 feet in elevation up to the Eagle's Perch clubhouse.
Ski details: Alpine Skiing:Only ten minutes from Humber Valley Resort, Marble Mountain, with verticals of 519m (1,700 feet) provides what is often described as the best skiing east of the Canadian Rockies. Snowboarding:There is no shortage of rails and trails at Marble Mountain, where all slopes are open to snowboarders. Marble Mountain has the largest terrain park and half pipe in Atlantic Canada. Cat Skiing:Known as ‘the most outrageous skiing and snowboarding in eastern North America’, Cat skiing is an off piste experience like no other.
