There are also numerous tennis courts, swimming pools and a clubhouse -- guests can truly enjoy it all at Club Fun Tropicale! Volleyball, windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, horseback riding, and deep-sea fishing are all available for your enjoyment. Nearby, visit the historic Cathedral of Santa Maria La Menor, the oldest cathedral in the Americas. Artifacts housed there include Madonna by Murillo, the crown of Isabella of Spain, and numerous jewels. Christopher Columbus is entombed in the cathedral in a marble sarcophagus. Playa Dorada is a total resort area -- alive with fine shopping, exciting casinos, excellent dining, day activities, and exciting nightlife in the surrounding area.
