Winter Brings Awesome Snow Fun Summer Fun: In the heart of Vermont there is a place where the snow is thick and the winters are cold -- perfect for skiing! Choose from nine ski areas within 30 miles -- the closest are six-mountain Killington with sister Pico, and Okemo, just three miles down the road. Stratton, Bromley, Mount Snow, and others are a stone's throw farther. Prefer cross-country? Step outside onto the frozen-over lake, or drive to some terrific XC areas nearby. You'll also find ice skating, sledding, snowmobiling, horse-drawn sleigh rides, snowshoeing, and more. In other seasons the mountains are the greenest of green and a string of pristine lakes is the bluest of blue. The fish are always biting in the summer; feathery flakes fall on red-gold leaves in October; and flowers burst into a jumble of audacious color in May. The only thing that beats taking a canoe out on a misty summer morning is screaming down a ski slope after a fresh snowfall.

Guest Book: We rented this house for 5 months during the winter. We are 60% of the way thru the season and it has been great. The mountain, lakes and the town of Ludlow are all easily accessible from the Lake House. The house sleeps 12 in 6 bedrooms and conveniently has 2 kitchen and fireplaces. The driveway has ample space. The views are tremendous and lovely. The hot tub is an added bonus and it can comfortably handle 5 or 6 people. The owners are friendly and helpful and willing to offer help if you have questions about the area. It is a truly fun place with games for kids and TVs, VCRs and cable TV and movies for all ages. We feel at home here and will be sad to go at the end of this great ski season. The deck around the house is large and sports a large picnic table and a gas grill to give even more options to you at dinnertime. There's not much to say except this place is great!
