This Southern Mount snow region A-frame chalet is only 1.5 hours from Hartford. It has 2 upstairs BRs (steep stairs) with 2 double beds and 1 single. It is on a paved well maintained road. It is set high up in Whitingham with long views to the North and haystack-Mt. snow. It is convenient to VAST trails, Sadawga Pond, Harriman Reservoir, Catamount Xcountry ski trail, downhill Skiing and one mile to 'the Moover' (bus service to Wilmington and ski areas). great shopping and dining are 8 mi. away in Wilmington. It has a toasty warm Vt. castings Vigilant wood stove set in the open living area. The kitchen is new and the house is very clean. The furnishings are comfortable and the house is equipped with dishes, utensils, toaster, microwave, electric range, TV,VCR,DVD. The house is a 1950s post beam and plank A-frame with a warmly colored naturally patinated all wood plank interior (very restful). It is available for the full ski season only, no short term rentals.

The house is located at the top of what was once Burrington Hill Ski area (see lost ski areas of Vt. on the Internet) It was was one of the original structures. This is deep snow country and the whole area comes alive in the Winter. It is very convenient to Snowmobiling and the VAST system. we are also within a few miles of the Trans-Vermont Catamount Xcountry ski trail. Great Ice fishing is less than a mile away at Sadawga pond (Views from the house). Mt. snow, Stratton Mountain, Bromley mountain and several Mass Berkshire and NY ski areas are all within an hours drive.

The upstairs bedrooms are accessed by a fairly steep stairway which may not be suitable for some elderly, infirm, or very young children ( my over 70 mother who spends summers in the house has no problem with it)
