Villa situation: The villa is located on the north-east side of Orlando, well away from the normal tourist havens, the town of Oviedo is a well established Floridian township whose inhabitants are mainly residents living and working in the Orlando area, typical commuter land. So if you have done Disney and want to mix with the locals, this is the place for you. From Oviedo you can explore the rest of Florida, with Cape Canaveral, Daytona, St. Augustine, Sanford, Jacksonville and the beaches of Cocoa, New Smyrna and Daytona not far away. Disney and the other Theme Parks if you do want to visit them are only 50 minutes away on the 417 toll road or I4. Miami can be reached inside a leisurely four hours and the Keys inside eight hours. The west coast is only a few hours away, if you wish to travel further afield.
Nature visits: Local nature visits could include a trip on the St John's River on a pleasure cruiser with lunch or dinner and a commentary on the local wildlife thrown in. Or how about a trip to the manatee winter resting place and preservation centre at the Silver Springs reserve. There are numerous wild life places to visit less than an hours drive from the house, a file with leaflets on all these plus many other types of entertainment is held in the house ready for you to work through.
No Smoking: For the benefit of all our non smoking guests, we operate a NO SMOKING policy for the villa, if smokers are desperate they can smoke on the covered patio or round the pool area.
