Amenities:: Full kitchen, tub-shower, washer/dryer, VCR & DVD player, radio/CD & tape player, fireplace, gas and briquette barbeque's, horse shoes, and large lawn for mountain croquet or games and sunbathing. The kitchen contains a gas range, microwave oven, food processor, coffee maker, hot air popcorn popper, and numerous pots and pans. Our library has hundreds of books from romance to mystery and intrigue.
Activities:: Boating on Trinity Lake, hiking to alpine lakes, horse back riding at a nearby dude ranch. In the winter you'll find hundreds of mile of ungroomed trails (logging roads) for snowmobiling or cross country skiing. The award winning Alpine Cellars winery is located just 20 minutes from us and offers free tasting on a beautiful mountain estate. However, the most popular activity is relaxing in the hammock, reading, and snoozing.
Area:: The elevation is 2600 feet and the surrounding Trinity Alps rise to over 8000 feet. The river, Coffee Creek, that runs next to us is about 30-40 feet wide and flows year round into Trinity Lake. The nearby Forest Cafe offers good food and the Country Store has most things people forget.
Ski: Cross Country skiing on ungroomed trails within a half-hour drive, Downhill skiing at Mt. Ashland, OR or Mt Shasta, CA is a two-hour drive.
Guest Book: Thank you for the lovely getaway at Coffee Creek Chalet. Both Bill and I were more than ready for this trip, and as always, it was the perfect spot to kick back and recharge. Bill seemed to enjoy the creek even more than usual. Thanks for your hospitality and for all the little things you do to make the place so pleasant and comfortable.
