Beautiful at foliage season. Beautiful year round . Experience New England and all it's history . This is your opportunity to stay in the village of South Woodstock, in one of its most charming homes. The house, the only Greek Gothic Revival in the village was built in 1853. This is a house full of character and charm, combining a variety of living spaces, from cozy to casual.
How to get here: Easily reached by bus, train, or plane, Burlington, Manchester and Boston are our nearest airports. South Woodstock is only a 1/2-hour drive from Dartmouth College or White River Jct., 1 1/2 hours from Manchester & Burlington Airports, 2 1/2 hours from the Boston Airport and only 5 hours driving from New York City.
What you can do: Fly fish, bike quiet country roads, swim in the town pools or clear mountain streams. Enjoy golf, tennis, antiquing, health club, theater. Visit the Quechee Gorge, climbing wall, and lift-serviced Mountain. Biking and Adventure Center at Killington. Additionally, with the Appalachian Trail, Silver Lake, and GMHA just minutes away, you have easy access to many other outdoor activities including, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing and horseback riding.
Ski: In winter ski Suicide Six (10-minute drive), Killington (30 min to gondola), Pico (40 min), Ascutney (20 min), Okemo (30 min).
Golf: Woodstock Country Club 5 minutes away open to public. Quechee Country Club (2 courses) 15 minutes A Private Course, but can arrange tee time through owner who is a member. Windsor Golf Course 20 minutes away open to public. Okemo Country Club 20 minutes away open to public. Killington Golf Course 30 minutes away open to public.
