Hale Kai Kalani is comfortably, tastefully furnished, island style, with soft cotton sheets in the bedrooms, tiled bathrooms, and a full-on entertainment center with cable TV, DVD, and CD stereo. For those who cannot escape fully, we offer wireless broadband internet access. Furniture and furnishings are oriental and island-style, with antiques and original art. The sunken hot tub is the perfect relaxer. The cottage even comes with a big aluminum canoe -- complete with paddles, life preservers, and a car roof rack. It is perfect for jungle river adventures on Kauai's numerous waterways. It's fun and easy, even if you have never canoed before! For those interested in preparing meals, there is a fully equipped tiled kitchen. For convenience sake, there is a washer and dryer, as well as a hot and cold outdoor shower for washing the sand and salt off when returning from Kahili-Quarry Beach, which is just down the road, or from one of the myriad of other nearby world-class beaches.

Consistent trade breezes generally keep you cool and refreshed. But, to be on the safe side, we have installed ceiling fans in both bedrooms, the living room, the kitchen, even on the lanai! Once again, there are a myriad of world-class Kauai North Shore beaches close nearby. Kahili Quarry Beach is within walking distance, Kalihiwai Beach and the trailhead to Secret Beach are just six to seven minutes away. When looking at a map of Kauai, use the Kilauea Lighthouse as a locater - it is the northernmost point on the island, and Hale Kai Kalani is about one mile to the east-southeast. The location is convenient -- close to restaurants, bakeries, four farmer's markets each week, and fun shopping. It is an easy drive further west to Princeville (10 minutes) or Hanalei (15 minutes) yet not far the other direction to the East and South sides and to Waimea Canyon on the West side.

Golf: Golf is huge on Kauai. There are 45 holes in nearby Princeville, including the world famous Prince Course, the #1 golf course in the Hawaiian Islands! Scattered around the rest of Kauai are a number of other courses in all price ranges, including the Count of Kauai Wailaua Golf Course and Poipu Bay, home of the Grand Slam of Golf. Come in November and watch Tiger woods do his thing!
