The house is spacious, beautiful, tranquil, and comfortably appointed with art, antiques, beautiful rugs, books, a well-stocked kitchen, large screen television and cable TV service with English and French language channels. Stay inside and relax, or go out and enjoy Quebec's many world-class attractions - its historic sites and architecture, galleries, museums, music and music festivals, and cultural events. Private parking is available on site, but a car is not necessary since there is so much to do and see within walking distance, and the airport and train station are quick cab rides away. Great food shopping is also within walking distance (including an amazing farmers' market). Excellent private chef services are available, please inquire.

Notes:
There are rental car agencies and bicycle rental locations within in easy walking distance of the house. Taxi service is also easily available by phone throughout Quebec City, and there are city bus stops not far from the house that include routes to the large shopping center (one of the largest in North America). There are many places surrounding Quebec City, such as Orleans Island (the Ile D'Orleans) that are wonderful for day trips and cycling. During later fall through winter there is an ice skating rink a short walk from the house, and the beautiful Plains of Abraham park, also within easy walking distance, has facilities for cross country skiing and sledding.
The land-line telephone is for local service only, but Quebec City has excellent cell phone and wireless reception. If a guest is coming from the United States they can often request a rate plan on a temporary basis that includes Canada both for their cell phone and for wireless Internet connection.
