- In a private five-suite complex, the unit overlooks the complexes private courtyard which has one of the few large swimming pools in the downtown neighborhood. In addition to the sunny pool and shaded patio area located on the ground level, the rooftop (two storeys up) provides a unique sanctuary for quiet reflection or relaxing siestas in a hammock under a palapa, or an unencumbered vantage point for star gazing in the open rooftop area. The one bedroom suite has two juliet balconies overlooking First Avenue as well as a private balcony overlooking the complexes courtyard and pool. The living area is spacious with pullout couch, cable TV and VCR. A large dining area adjoins the large rustic-style kitchen. All amenities for a comfortable stay are provided, including bed and bath linens, microwave, toaster oven, cable television, VCR, fridge, stove, CD player, blender, coffee maker and laundry facilities.

Archaeological Sites: There are three famous Mayan archaeological sites nearby. The closest is Tulum, a stunning site set upon a cliff overlooking the Caribbean. About 40 minutes away from Playa del Carmen, it is one of the most spectacular sites because of its surroundings. Two hours away from Playa is Coba, one of the oldest sites in the peninsula and the one with the highest pyramid. Coba is a very extended site and is famous because of it has many remnants of “sacbes” or white roads, which at one time use to traverse the peninsula and join the different Mayan cities and towns. Three and a half hours away takes us to Chichen Itza, one of the most famous sites of ancient Mayan culture. One of the things it is most renowned for is that on every equinox, the shadow of Quetzacoatl, the Plumed Serpent, is seen descending the stairs of the Castle, Chichen Itza’s highest pyramid.
Dive & Snorkel: One of the things the Western Caribbean is most renowned for is snorkeling and scuba diving. The second largest barrier reef runs along the Quintana Roo coast, in front of Playa del Carmen, all the way down to Belize. It is home to a large variety of spectacular marine life that swim in and out of amazing coral gardens. The crystal clear, turquoise waters of the Caribbean invite professionals and amateurs to dive into its sea and discover an unforgettable and magical world.
