Welcome to Heavenly Haven! A family friend introduced us to Craig Creek in the spring of 2007. We were instantly enamored by the clean water and beautiful mountain views. The creek is perfect for tubing, canoing, and fishing. The surrounding Jefferson National forest offers some of the best hiking and hunting in the area. A week’s vacation at Craig Creek in the summer of 2007 cemented our love for the area and we began to look for a place to call our own. As we began our search we learned that property on the creek is rarely sold, and is often passed from one generation to the next. We had almost abandoned the idea when we happened upon the find of a lifetime……our Heavenly Haven. In 1997 a local attorney purchased the 1.3 acre creek-front lot near Oriskany, Virginia with the intent to build a fishing and hunting “getaway”. In 2000, he commissioned Mennonite carpenters to construct the unique cedar cabin and adjacent 10' x 20' barn from Southern Living’s “Deer Run” design.
