Restaurants we recommend:: Gator's in Treasure Island, world's longest beach bar, great food, we love the Grouper sandwich or nuggets. Caddy's, you can eat and drink all-day beachside, picnic tables with umbrellas, they also provide music to entertain in the afternoon and evenings ~ The Don CeSar hotel, enjoy a drink and a bite to eat poolside, five star and you're worth it! Dress to impress. ~ Original Pizza, best in town ~ Thai Am (2 locations) great Thai food, service is excellent ~ Osaka for Sushi, shamefully we have tried, but cannot find any that compares to this treasure! ~ VIP for Mexican fare, enjoy a wet-burrito and a golden margarita! Large servings and reasonable! ~ Jimmy B's beachside bar behind the Beachcomber Hotel 6200 Gulf Blvd. ~ All recommended above are just minutes from your door!
Orlando theme parks:: Disney ~ Epcot ~ Universal ~ MGM ~ Seaworld / from FL zip code 33708 Park Blvd. takes you East to I-275 North towards Tampa, then you will take I-4 East to Orlando, follow the signs, off of I-4 you will then Exit 67 thru 75B depending on which park you are planning on attending. Without traffic, this will take you approximately 2 hours from St. Petersburg. Busch Gardens or Adventure Island waterpark 45 mins. to 1 hour to Tampa to enjoy these very popular attractions. Check for discount tickets available with auto memberships, some parks offer combination passes to related parks, check the theme park internet sites.
Fishing: We recommend Lyons Charters - they have great area fishing information on their website.
Other Activities: Deep sea fishing at John's Pass, casino gambling boats, 1 hour from the hard rock cafe and casino, 1/2 hour from dog racing, horse racing nearby
